About Toranomon Institute of Diagnostic Ultrasound
Toranomon Institute of Diagnostic Ultrasound was established in 1989 and has been providing diagnostic ultrasound services for over 25 years. It is run by the well renowned radiologist and ultrasound trainer, Dr. Imran Waheed Qureshi and his team. The institute has trained over ten thousand doctors in Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Sudan. In addition, it has provided diagnostic and interventional ultrasound services to over 250,000 patients.
The comprehensive ultrasound training courses include daily lectures, discussions and hands-on scanning practice to develop a strong foundation in the principles, applications and interpretations of ultrasound diagnosis. For patients, in addition to routine diagnostic and interventional ultrasound procedures, the following advanced services are also available:
- Ovarian drilling for polycystic ovaries on out-patient basis
- Follicular aspiration for IVF and ICSI
- Aspiration of pelvic abscesses/cysts
- Culdocentesis
- Intrauterine blood transfusion
- Chorionic villus sampling/amniocentesis
- Biliary drainage and nephrostomy (using one step one prick catheter)
